In The Classroom

Cool breeze crashes into my face
As I search for ways to quicken the pace

The window's my gateway to heaven
Away from the conjectures that have already been proven

Bright figures strewn across a dark pool
While blank minds in a dream drool

Need a conundrum to shake me from this slumber
To escape these desultory rantings about a number

So I pen my exodus from this oubliette
Spread my wings and take flight.

I have read it quite some times, but this time I really enjoyed it. Do all the students feel the same way ? It really is a depresssing thought for a lecturer.
